Ever had a meal that transforms you back to your childhood? There’s something nostalgic in the taste, something reminiscent in the setting, something that even feels like home in the whole experience. Clive’s Midtown Diner was that experience, and right in the heart of the city. Actually just steps from the British Museum–a perfect treat after bustling through the crowds? A delicious malted shake. We had vanilla but you best believe I will back for those hard shakes–Bailey’s, peanut butter and salted caramel ice cream…are you kidding me?! I think if you spent the morning chasing kiddos through a museum, you earned it 🙂
Clive’s opened it’s doors in the last year with the inspiration of bringing the owner’s childhood dining memories from Boston right here to the city. And it brought back many of mine too! Sipping away….
I started with a breakfast tea because that is how I discovered Clive’s…through DripApp…the easiest way to find and pay for coffee in London! Read more on it over here…
Next, we nibbled on chicken wings (full of flavor!), zucchini crisps (crunchy and delicious!), and the major winner for me…the patty melt! One of the tasty burgers I’ve had in the city! Although the inspiration is all New-England, the products and ingredients are all the original England–as in local and supporting nearby businesses.
