There’s a few things that instantly shout classic London when you hear them…Royals, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey. Now imagine staying in the midst of all these things and getting to experience quintessential London……well, except maybe the Royals. And mixed within this iconic and classic location, a place that is modern and luxe : the Conrad St James.I didn’t want to consider this overnight stay my last London hurrah, because I will be back, but for our last night as UK residents we stayed in this dreamy Conrad hotel, set amongst some of my favorite London sights. Step out of the lobby and you’re walking to the Palace or to see ol’ Ben (well, part of it at least…renovations are already underway!). St James’s Park is one of my favorites in the city with the gorgeous springtime blooms and lush greenery year round. Hamilton is debuting near Victoria soon and this location would be the perfect stay for ticket holders!
But if you’re more apt to stay inside for some R&R on this visit, there’s all the comforts and amenities you could ever need (or want) at the Conrad. The spacious suite we stayed in had a separate living area with dining table. We enjoyed our breakfast lounging on the sofas in the comforts of our room. The suites has two bathrooms, making my morning easier than ever. The Conrad also offers a delicious afternoon tea at Emmeline’s — the dining area is spacious and has beautiful natural light…perfect for a tea date on even the rainiest of London days! The sandwiches were some of the most delicious I’ve had at afternoon teas around the city. I also loved the selection of teas and had the hardest time deciding on which to try!
