We all need a girls getaway every now and then…besides the champagne spa days, pillow fights, and late night gossip, it’s just good for your soul to be surrounded by your best gal pals! So off to the English countryside we went…I love bringing my American visitors to see every little bit of London that I love, buuuut it’s also SO nice to escape the madness sometimes and visit the calm and slow lifestyle outside the city. Within an hour, our train is cruising by green pastures and the sun is shining in! We are sipping warm coffees and chatting away about what is ahead in the charming little corner of the world called Christchurch.We arrive at the Christchurch Harbour Hotel and immediately set out to explore the gorgeous property!A perfectly picturesque dining room with windows sprawling the width of the room offering incredible harbor views, is our first stop….afternoon tea! What better way to kick off our girl’s getaway! The bubbly is flowing, the warm tea is steeping, and OMG, the scones, the scones. The Dorset region is really well known for amazing dairy products so you absolutely MUST have it while you’re visiting…and clotted cream is my number 1 recommendation!

After completely stuffing ourselves silly, as is a requirement of afternoon tea, we headed out for a sand in our toes walk on the beach! Harbour Hotel is located in the tiny little village of Mudeford along the Dorset coastline. The beach here is lined with the. most. adorable. pastel beach huts! These are rented out yearly to locals and annual visitors to the area but photos are free! And I certainly made use of this. Enough walking and snapping endless photos can build up an appetite! After a quick refresher in our gorgeous rooms, we head over to the Upper Deck a for delicious seafood dinner. The highlights for me were the Twice Baked Cheese Soufflé and the Scallops and Pork Belly…yummm! Another bonus, they have one of my favorite South African wines, Chenin Blanc on the menu! Not to mention the view…score!So after some giggles and gossip, we finally doze off…

Coffee and a seriously gourmet breakfast gets our day off to the perfect start! Nothing says Girl’s Getaway like a SPA DAY. We head to hotel’s gorgeous spa for our facial treatments and then hours of lounging in the most relaxing Harbour Hideaway! The private room opens to a gorgeous terrace overlooking the water. After a much needed pamper session, this was the best place to relax. This coastal treasure was the best for a girl’s getaway weekend…incredible spa amenities for the ultimate relaxation and seriously delicious food and wine, all the essentials were covered!
