In the iconic Potsdamer Platz, the Ritz Carlton Berlin is every bit the glitz and glam its’ name suggests and the perfect place for a date night in the capital city at Desbrosses. Greeted almost in the lobby, our host and waiter, Patrick took us through the evening with such a positive spirit and the best smile! Good service always makes even the best meals more enjoyable. A map of Germany on the wall shows the many local resources used in the Desbrosses kitchen–most importantly, their own organic field providing the vegetables and herbs! With all the local flare, the restaurant is still channeling its’ French characteristics with the subtle tunes in the background and the bistro decor focused around the open kitchen. I always love eating around an open kitchen–seeing all the hustle and bustle along with the focus and passion around preparing each and every dish. We visited during Berlin Restaurant Week, which to our delight meant a featured menu with some drool-worthy options. But you know I can’t go anywhere with burrata on the menu and not order it. And it was the right choice.
Visit Desbrosses for lunch or dinner, or for their very popular Champagne Brunch, every Sunday with unlimited champs! They also have an amazing assortment of festive events in the next month if you’re celebrating in Berlin.
