First, you coordinate and book online what you’ll be shipping, where, and dates. The site is really great at predicting when you need to schedule your pick up to allow enough time for customs. You will include a packing list, which will also help with customs! We actually only shipped clothing items (no liquids) so our suitcase made it to our final destination much quicker than expected because customs was a breeze!

I will say this was the one caveat we found — having to ship our bags over a week prior to our arrival made us last minute packers a little crazy. Luckily, we were traveling to London where we know what weather to expect (basically all seasons in one day!) but not so luckily, we trusted the steady heat wave they’ve had all summer and didn’t quite pack warm enough! But with extra space in our case and that fact that we were shipping it home and not carrying it, we had plenty of space available for purchases made! So it definitely balanced out.So we arrive in London and our bag is happily awaiting our arrival — already in the room! It made getting from the airport to the hotel such a breeze. And as I mentioned, with the open space and not having to worry about carrying it, we were able to enjoy one of my favorite hobbies…shopping! At the end of our trip, our luggage was again easily collected from the hotel and whisked away. It arrived a few days later at home.
