Often the least exciting part of planning an amazing vacation is the packing process…figuring out what to take and where to put it all while also being practical about the type of travel you’re doing. Trust, trying to wheel a huge luggage case through cobblestone Venetian streets is not fun. Sometimes a backpack is the most reasonable option. Here are my favorite luggage options for whatever adventures lie ahead…
PRACTICAL TRAVELER : You know it’s not about the look of something buuut you still want something stylish but durable, but stylish. I got ya. Calpak to the rescue! Their three piece sets are perfect and give you a variety options to choose from when jet setting. I personally have the Winton set and loooove it. The thing about these durable, AND stylish, sets is the easy storage..they all fit into one another. I also have a thing for those wheels that roll in any direction. I am obsessed with the marbled set and actually CANNOT wait to get my hands on the hat case!
THE GLAM GETAWAY : I have always been obsessed with the vintage style luggage cases… how practical they really are, I haven’t the slightest. But this section isn’t about practicality, it’s about looking chic and glam on your next getaway. And these are my favorites…the top ones are the splurge ones with the most reasonable priced options nearer the bottom!
LOW MAINTENANCE : Maybe it’s a weekend (or overnight) getaway or really you’re just that easy going and low maintenance, whatever the case, I love these small backpacks! I use the North Face one and am constantly surprised how much fits in this! It’s the perfect size for quick weekend jaunts and even though it’s going to get super overstuffed and heavy, I love that it has a waist strap to help balance the weight and take the stress off your shoulders. If you’re opting for a more chic overnighter, I love this Matt & Nat Faux leather one!
THE LEGIT BACKPACKER : Okay, okay, I would hardly call myself a backpacker but I do almost always carry a backpack when jet setting around Europe! It is just so much easier with the old roads and public transpo! I most often use this Patagonia but do find it difficult with no waist strap (weak shoulders!). I am preparing to switch over to this Osprey pack for our next long haul travel though.
THE ACCESSORIES : I love Lo & Sons for the best in travel accessories. From their appropriately named O.G. carry on bag to the super durable (and cute!) camera bags — gimme em all! The O.G. is really the best investment you can make if you plan to travel with checked bags. It has a compartment for everything and securely can hold all your electronics. I am also super obsessed with the back sided zippered opening so it can securely rest on your rolling luggage. This is the be all, end all, for carry on bags! The uber chic camera bag is my favorite because it doesn’t even look like a camera bag!
What are you carrying these days? Remember this post for later!

The North Face’s bags are absolutely insane in the carrying ability. They hold so much and it seems like there’s a compartment for everything. I’m obsessed with my North Face base camp duffel backpack. It’s gotten me through countless cities in a dozen countries, including a two-week honeymoon in Croatia! I hardly travel anywhere without it!
I need to try out their larger one! I have a small pack from them but this sounds perfect!
