The tiny island of Formentera is the smallest of the Balearic islands and only reachable by ferry from Ibiza. It’s been playfully dubbed Ibiza’s hippy little sister, and I can’t say I’d disagree, it’s a pleasant exchange after the wild party scene radiating from Ibiza. From one end to the other, with countless beaches between, you can see it all on a scooter in a day or less…but you’d be selling yourself short if you didn’t spend at least a little more time escaping the rest of the world here in this happy little paradise.
SEE :
The Beaches : Illetes, Llevant, Migjorn
The Lighthouse
Small towns : Sant Francesc, Sant Ferran
EAT :
Beso Beach : make a booking, late afternoon paella and sunsets
Juan y Andrea
Can Dani
Can Toni
Italian : yes, it seems strange, but it is said that at any given time a quarter of the island’s inhabitants are Italian.
