Ronda is the oh-so-dramatic mountainous city perched above a stunning gorge in the Malaga region of southern Spain. Fun fact : Julius Caesar first named Ronda a city in the 4th century AD.

1. Puente Nuevo : the obvious reason people end up in little Ronda! The stone bridge crosses the deep gorge offering gorgeous views…sorry couldn’t help it!
2. Camino de los Molinos : save time for this hike down to view the infamous bridge from below! These were my favorite shots because it really portrayed the magnitude of this epic bridge in this small town.
3. Plaza del Toros :  the bullring! Ronda is known as the modern day home of bull fighting.
4. Vino: Ronda is home to some pretty incredible wineries and makes for the perfect starting point an afternoon winery tour.
5. Small town charm : Plaza Duquesa de Parcent, Plaza del Socorro, Santa Maria del Mayor church…just to name a few! These quaint little squares will have you thinking you’ve stepped back in time.
6. Baños Arabes : Arab Baths, built at the end of the 13th century, these are some of the most well preserved in Spain.
7. Mondragon Palace : the tranquil gardens are the must-see here but this palace was the residence of King Ferdinand and Isabella.
8. Mirador de Aldehuela and Balcón del Coño : again, exceptional vantage points of the gorge and the landscape below.
9. Acinipo Ruins : outside of Ronda, lies the ancient ruins of the Roman settlement.
10. Cueva del Gato : a short drive from the center of town, is the Cat’s Cave, a perfect stop off for swimming in the Spanish sunshine.
