It may not feel like summer quite yet here in London but if you look, you’ll see glimpses of it sneaking up everywhere–the al fresco dining, the open windows, the colorful pendants on small streets, and of course, the festivals.
Last week, I spent a day exploring the charming Connaught Village with Andreea {of Dreaming of Chanel} to grab a peek of what to expect for their Summer Festival this Wednesday, June 22nd from 2 pm to 8 pm. A few minutes walk from Oxford Street, and a world way from the chaotic high street shopping, Connaught Village is the perfect escape for a quaint shopping experience. The Summer Festival returns this year with live music, family-friendly events, delicious food and drinks, and of course, excellent shopping.
The shopping highlights :
EM + ME : classic, smart style with a touch of femininity. This white dress called to me from the rack–isn’t it stunning?!
Kokoro : unique and out of the box designs in an equally impressive storefront. You’ll love shopping in this chic boutique…but I think you’re going to love Dawn (the creative director and owner) even more!
The Dresser : the spot for high end and couture second hand pieces. The handbag collection on Wednesday will be the highlight of your day!
Lucy Choi London : as Jimmy Choo’s niece, she knows a thing or two about shoes and fashion. Visit the flagship shop at Connaught Village and snag a pair for yourself!
As much as I love shopping, I love the breaks in between for coffees or cocktails or in the case of Connaught Village, a seriously delicious Italian lunch. Here are my fave foodie stops in CV :
Cocomaya : start your day exploring with a quick bite and cuppa at this adorable cafe…each entrance is more instagram worthy than the last.
Stuzzico : the Italians in the neighborhood, serving up tasty and authentic dishes, it’s the perfect lunch spot in the Village.
Kurobuta : the perfect afternoon cocktails, creative and tasty nibbles for the side, and an effortlessly cool vibe.
