• It’s all about creativity people! And functional pieces.
• First things first, you need to research the typical temperatures of the area you are travelling. Most commonly, you will experience nice, warm weather in Europe in summertime but you should be prepared for a cool change in temperature, especially at night. You should definitely bring one pair of pants and a cardigan/sweater. Also, a lightweight raincoat is essential.
• Now for a long trip abroad some people will recommend saving space by bringing less underwear and washing them in hotels. I will do this with socks and bras (I only bring 1-2 bras and 7ish socks) but I always pack at least 14 pairs of underwear, usually a few spares. They take up such little space and I feel better about it. Also, lace bralettes are super trendy right now and take up very minimal baggage space.
• Swimsuits are also an essential item for summer in Europe. I recommend bringing one swimsuit and a spare top or bottom that matches for variety.
• Two pairs of shoes…both very comfortable and very broken in. I like one pair of sneakers and one pair of sandals (that you won’t mind getting wet).
• A crossbody bag is essential for day to day exploring. It’s small and secure.
• This is the bag I featured above…I love Herschel Supply Co because they are durable and functional as well as great designs.
• Here’s how I styled these 12 pieces for 14 different outfits. {I obviously left out the scarf, shoes, and cardigan in counting my pieces, as they can be added easily to all the outfits.}
