Everyone knows the basics of putting together a travel day outfit: comfort, of course, for all the transportation changes and carrying lots of luggage; transitional pieces for warm to cold temperature changes; and trying to pull it off while looking fashionable.
I like these simple, neutral pieces because they’re good for layering. The dark colors are great for travel, especially if you’re like me and at risk for spilling!
I prefer comfortable yet cute sneakers for travel days because I like having socks on when walking through security. But some broken-in flats are definitely my number two and make a travel day much more chic.
I like to brighten up my bland, neutral outfit with a colorful scarf. Bonus, it can add an extra layer on those particularly chilly flights.
One more tip…for long vacations or a wintery escape, I like to wear my bulkiest items (rain boots, heavy jacket, etc) on the plane to allow for more space when packing!
Chic travels friends!
