Dubai was unlike any other city I’ve been to….its’ fabulousness bounding from every uniquely designed skyscraper, every masterfully created island, all of the over the top malls, and of course, every single person we met! I know Dubai is all about the biggest, the fastest, the best of the best, but the customer service in this city is what they need an award for–wow!
Although many people draw comparisons to the famous Las Vegas, I’d call them second cousins at best. Maybe it’s the newest of Dubai, like a shiny new toy that makes it seem all its own. In fairness, I have been frequenting mostly old European cities of late, but the newness of Dubai doesn’t take away anything from the fact that it is one of the most unique and interesting places in the world.
When organizing where to stay in this city overflowing with extravagant hotels, we knew we wanted to stay on Palm Jumeriah, the manmade island. Although, Atlantis Dubai attracts a lot of attention for visitors seeking to stay on the Palm, we’ve spent a few holidays at Atlantis Bahamas previously (and have loved it–read on here!) and wanted something different.More or less, Ryan loves the waterpark and we would have probably never left.
The Waldorf Astoria Palm Jumeirah offers an impeccable complex with luxurious rooms (offering views of the Burj Al Arab or the Palm Bay), stunning beach and pool options, and of course, delicious dining!
Spacious rooms with top level amenities….the highlights for me : a TV in front of the bath tub, Nespresso maker, a gorgeous balcony with an even better view, snuggly robes, and of course, conditioner!! (I don’t know why hotels don’t always have real conditioner? Shampooing conditioner is not a real thing.)
The stunning beach and pool area offers views of the Dubai Marina and Atlantis.
And of course, very delicious dining….the breakfast buffet is expansive and has options for everyone! The beachside restaurant, Palm Avenue, offers mobile ordering and will be delivered right to your sunbed– for the ultimate relaxation. Or you can dine at one of their above the pool tables–which I highly recommend! Plus, you’ll be very entertained with the kiddos in the pool!
