I’m No Backpacker
Let me clarify, I can’t even pretend to be a backpacker. If you’ve read my hotel reviews you know I am much more likely to be checking in to a five star hotel than any hostel. It’s just not my travel genre. But I do like to pack like a backpacker….light and well, in a backpack!
Packing Lightweight
After months of traveling through Europe on quick weekenders, I trained myself on the motto of less is more when it comes to packing. I strategically plan my outfits + ways to re-wear different pieces of my wardrobe. I like being able to throw my travel necessities into one bag — a bag that conveniently can be carried on my back!

When it came time to start packing for our long APAC travels, I knew I couldn’t pack a different outfit for the 80-odd days abroad. Instead, I opted to pack 14 pieces that could be created into 30 different looks { did you see it here?! }. This packing revelation meant I could maintain my backpacking ways, even on a long term travel!
The Osprey Fairview
Enter, the Osprey Fairview. This dual purpose pack was perfect for this travel. The bag zippers open across the front making it super easy to open wide + pack. The smaller backpack is great for delicate items with a special cushioned area for a laptop. This pack also zippers off making it the ideal day backpack. Also, if you’re carrying on, you can easily unzip this pack for under your seat!
The Fairview is specifically designed for females with an appropriate sized hipbelt.
